We will ask that all new patients complete a detailed medical questionnaire that will take from 10-30 minutes to complete. Insurance Referrals and precertification along with payment will all be due at the time of your visit. Bring your insurance card(s) and Driver’s License with you at the time of visit. Our questionnaire may be downloaded or mailed to you so that it can be completed at home prior to your visit. While every attempt to see you in a timely fashion is made, our surgeons ask that you bring a book if surgeries or patient emergencies may cause some delays.

Yes. Two of our four surgeons are fluent in Spanish, while some of our secretaries and physician assistants are also bilingual in Spanish and Vietnamese; many are English speaking only. It is best to bring a family member or friend who can translate if the patient doesn’t speak English.

As Houston’s largest and most qualified cardiovascular surgeons, Texas Surgical Associates is sought after by all credible insurance programs. Our surgeons do the majority of their operations at Memorial Southwest Hospital, Methodist Sugar Land Hospital and St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital. We do have satellite offices for clinic visits in El Campo Professional Building, and West Houston Professional Building, with other satellite clinics in progress.

We are located on the Southwest Freeway at Beechnut in Southwest Houston. A map can be downloaded. Park in the covered parking multilevel building adjacent to our office building. We do not validate parking tickets. While parking is far more convenient that Houston’s downtown Medical Center, it may take 10 extra minutes to find your way around if this is your first visit.

Yes, our physician assistants will inform you of these instructions at the time of your discharge from the hospital. Our written set of instructions can be downloaded.

Some tests require nothing to eat or drink after midnight before your procedure. Please check with our office. Your referring doctor will receive a copy of the test by the following business day.

We have dedicated billing experts who can answer all questions concerning your account and can be reached at 832-678-2488. Their hour of operations is from 8 – 4 pm. Please note they are not equipped to make any appointments nor answer any clinical questions. Those calls will be directed back to the clinical office at 713-776-0655.
